PAST
Reynolda Manufacturing Solutions (RMS) was founded as Component Manufacturing and Machine (CM&M) in 1994 by Greg Bedsaul, John Dyer, and Richard Sechrist. The initial focus was on the fiber and textile industry. CM&M’s absolute goal was strong customer satisfaction through responsive service, top quality work, and economical prices.
In 2002 CM&M acquired Reynolda Cutting Tools, Inc. (RCT), a manufacturer of specialized metal cutting tools. RCT was located on Reynolda Road in Winston-Salem, NC and had a nationwide customer base. RCT moved into our East Bend, NC location and the combined entity was renamed Reynolda Manufacturing Solutions, Inc.
In 2008 RMS acquired General Machine & Welding, Inc. (GMW), a precision machine shop in Burlington, NC. GMW specializes in medium-sized production runs and remains in Burlington, operating as a division of Reynolda Manufacturing Solutions, Inc.
PRESENT
Reynolda Manufacturing Solutions serves a large and diverse customer base from many industries including; manufacturing, fluid handling, medical, automation, textile, tool and die, aerospace, and automotive. We have approximately 27,000 square feet of combined space between our two locations, with plenty of room to grow our operations to meet our customers' evolving needs.
Strong customer satisfaction is still our primary goal and focus. We are continuously looking at ways to better serve our customers and have recently obtained our AS9100D and ISO 9001 quality management system certifications. Our certified quality management program helps us produce higher quality parts for our customers; while also improving our processes and productivity. We have made significant investments in our quality control infrastructure. Our recently completed climate-controlled quality area houses two of our three CMMs, including our new Zeiss Spectrum.
RMS recently added capacity to reduce lead times for our customers. We welcomed a few more talented team members. We have also added a new Doosan GT3100M Turning Center in 2022.
FUTURE
The future is bright for Reynolda Manufacturing Solutions and our customers. Our long-term plan for steady growth will fuel our customer-focused initiatives. These initiatives include; reducing lead times by increasing capacity and improving our processes, continued improvements to our Quality Management environment, and continuing to embrace and leverage technology to maintain our competitive advantage and attract talented team members.
